Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Agapewear collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We handle your information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who is responsible

Agapewear is the responsible party for your information. Our Information Officer can be reached at info@agapewear.co.za — that is the address to use for any request or complaint about your personal information.

What we collect

• Your details — name, email address and phone number.
• Delivery address — so we can get your order to you.
• Order history — what you bought and what you paid.
• Account login — your email and a securely hashed password.

What we do not collect

We never see or store your card details. Payments happen on PayFast's own systems; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed.

Why we use it

• To process and deliver your order.
• To email you about that order, including a reminder if you leave items in your cart.
• To answer you when you contact us.
• To keep records we are legally required to keep.

Who we share it with

Only the people needed to get your order to you: PayFast (payments), useSend (sending our emails), and our delivery partners (Pudo or the courier). We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account with us, and afterwards only where the law requires us to keep transaction records.

Your rights under POPIA

• See it — ask us what information we hold about you.
• Correct it — update your details from your account at any time.
• Delete it — you can delete your account and the personal details attached to it yourself, from your account settings. Where the law requires us to retain a record of a completed transaction, we keep only that record.
• Object — tell us to stop using your information for a given purpose.
• Complain — to us first, and if we don't resolve it, to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, and access to customer data is limited to the people running the shop.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember what is in your cart. We do not run advertising or tracking cookies.
